**Job Summary:**

We are seeking an experienced Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) professional to lead our EHS programs and ensure a safe and sustainable work environment at our Bunge plant.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement EHS standards and programs to promote a Best-in-Class EHS culture, focusing on eliminating serious injuries, fatalities, and environmental incidents.
  • Provide technical EHS support and expertise to the plant leadership team and workforce, including coaching, counseling, and developing employees on safety best practices.
  • Implement EHS training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors, with a focus on high-potential exposures and environmental permits.
  • Assist with the deployment of Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) philosophy, training, and tool deployment.
  • Monitor and maintain EHS policies, procedures, standards, and permits to ensure compliance with Bunge global requirements and local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Perform observations and audits to monitor the effectiveness of our programs and standards, and investigate incidents to determine and implement prevention methods.
  • Track and analyze injury, illness, and environmental incident data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the corporate environmental team to promote environmental sustainability and drive improvements.
  • Ensure fire protection and security systems are properly managed, and serve as liaison with insurance company inspectors.
  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans, and manage the execution of response plans in the event of an environmental emergency or other adverse event.
  • Support Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Plan (RMP) programs as applicable to locations with solvents, hydrogen, ammonia, and combustible dust.
  • Serve as liaison between government agencies for all EHS matters.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental/Health Science, Engineering, or closely related field.
  • 10+ years of safety and environmental experience, with demonstrated experience in improving SIF potential incidents and HPEs.
  • Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills, with strong facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of personal computers and related business software.
