We are seeking a highly skilled Groundskeeping Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our grounds maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our grounds maintenance department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hire, Supervise and Schedule Staff: Lead a team of grounds maintenance staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and training to perform their duties.
  • Plan and Direct Grounds Maintenance: Develop and implement plans for grounds maintenance, including mowing, pruning, and other tasks.
  • Plan and Estimate Labour and Materials: Estimate the resources required for grounds maintenance projects, including labour and materials.
  • Organize and Direct Construction of Decks and Decorative or Retaining Walls: Oversee the construction of decks, decorative walls, and other landscape features.
  • Plan, Manage and Supervise Landscape Construction Work: Coordinate and supervise landscape construction projects, including planting, pruning, and other tasks.
  • Maintain Work Records and Logs: Keep accurate records of work completed, including hours worked, materials used, and other relevant information.
  • Repair and Maintain Equipment: Ensure that all equipment is in good working order, performing regular maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Requisition or Order Materials, Equipment and Supplies: Procure the necessary materials, equipment, and supplies for grounds maintenance projects.
Requirements:
  • 5-10 Years of Experience: A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in grounds maintenance, landscape construction, or a related field.
  • Valid Driver's Licence: A valid driver's licence is required for this position.
  • Excellent Oral Communication: Excellent oral communication skills are essential for this role.
  • Initiative: A high level of initiative is required to succeed in this position.
