Thales Canada is seeking a highly skilled Business Process Automation Specialist to join our team in Ottawa, Canada. As a key member of our In-Service Support team, you will be responsible for implementing, integrating, and troubleshooting Business Process Automation (BPA) flows/processes, including web service invocations, embedded scripts, and user interactions.
Key Responsibilities:- Implement and integrate BPA flows/processes, ensuring seamless automation of business processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and refine business processes prior to implementation and post-implementation.
- Lead and oversee the work of a small team of BPA specialists, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Champion digital transformation and automation within In-Service Support projects, driving innovation and process improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or equivalent education with relevant experience.
- 8 years of software development experience, including 2 years of leading a software development or software test team and 5 years of development of web services, including 2 years of use of JavaScript for web application development.
- Experience defining software requirements, user stories, and/or GUI UX design based on stakeholder needs.
- Experience with UX design and/or implementing GUIs.
- Experience automating business processes using Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN).
- Excellent 'soft skills' relevant to leading a team and engaging with stakeholders.
- Experience working in a scrum/agile software development environment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proven problem-solving and analytic skills with a desire to learn.
- Experience with military or aerospace domains.
