A leading manufacturer in Manitoba's industrial sector seeks an experienced Foundry Supervisor to oversee its foundry operations. Reporting directly to the Foundry Manager, this role will be responsible for ensuring smooth production processes, maintaining quality control, and implementing process improvements.

Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled leader with a minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing or foundry operations, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills are essential. Proficiency in quality control, inspection procedures, and computer software such as Microsoft Office is required. Familiarity with health and safety regulations and Lean/5S principles is also necessary.
Key Responsibilities- Setup, operate, and maintain foundry equipment & tools to ensure precise pouring operations.
- Ensure smooth operation of machinery by performing daily care and maintenance checks.
- Contribute to pre-shift standup meetings on job scheduling priorities and communicate foundry goals, targets, and safety issues.
- Identify training needs and coordinate cross-training programs within your department.
- Manage department to ensure safety, quality, production, and efficiency meet targets.
- Monitor production, efficiencies, and in-process inspections to ensure quality parts are produced.
- Support and contribute to improvements and department initiatives.
- Train workers on process and procedures, assist when required, and monitor production repeatedly.
- Provide open communication between foundry cell leaders and employees through regular meetings and information boards.
- Report attendance, production issues, scheduling issues, and machine downtime to the Foundry Manager.
- Maintain Kanban inventory & consumables and ensure compliance with Manitoba H&S Act and company policies.
