Nurse Practitioner, Respiratory and Home Tracheostomy and Ventilation Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic team at BC Children's Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care, develop and implement treatment plans, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat patients with respiratory and tracheostomy-related conditions, utilizing your expertise in evidence-based practice and pharmacology.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, working closely with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide seamless patient care and support.
- Prescribe medications and treatments, applying your knowledge of pharmacology and best practices.
- Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives to advance patient care and nursing practice.
- Lead and mentor other healthcare professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
Requirements:
- Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Eligibility to complete the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) through the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Minimum of 4 years of recent, relevant clinical nursing experience.
