We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at True North Star Subs Inc.
Job Summary:The Culinary Specialist will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, inspecting kitchens and food service areas, training staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and managing kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring high-quality standards and presentation.
- Kitchen Management: Inspect kitchens and food service areas, ensuring cleanliness and organization, and manage kitchen operations, including inventory management and staff supervision.
- Staff Training: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, ensuring they meet our high standards.
- Cleanliness: Clean kitchen and work areas, maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Language: English.
- Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
Our kitchen is a fast-paced environment, requiring attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure.
