Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to senior directors/managers, including typing, formatting, and proofreading various materials.
- Assist with the monitoring and analysis of operating budgets and expenditures, preparing ad hoc financial reports as required.
- Take initiative to handle administrative matters and solve problems independently.
- Develop, maintain, and update various databases, including data collection and entry, analysis, and report preparation.
- Perform payroll functions and monitor position control information, verifying information from ESFs and following up on discrepancies.
- May provide direction to junior employees, including workload delegation, on-the-job training, and performance appraisals.
- Five years of directly related experience required.
- Experience scheduling and coordinating meetings, recording and preparing minutes and agendas, maintaining spreadsheets and databases, and working with email and computerized calendars.
- Formal training in applied office skills required.
- Typing speed of 65 wpm and proficiency with computerized systems (Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) required.
- Excellent communication skills, verbally and in writing, and ability to prioritize a large workload and independently complete administrative duties.
This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment.
Please note that an employee is not permitted to hold two or more positions across the WRHA legal entity that combine to equal more than 1.0 EFT.
