About the Role:

The Construction Supervisor will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of construction projects. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the construction process, managing site operations, and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a liaison between the Construction Management team, project stakeholders, and site personnel to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Develop and implement site-specific safety plans to ensure compliance with company health and safety policies and industry standards.
  • Review project drawings, specifications, and schedules to ensure that all tasks are integrated into the project schedule.
  • Assist the Project Manager in developing a comprehensive project schedule, including daily review and weekly updates of the critical path to ensure construction issues are managed effectively.
  • Monitor and manage subcontractor and material supplier progress to ensure they remain on schedule and meet project targets.
  • Ensure that all subcontractors perform work to industry standards and project specifications of quality.
  • Provide daily site reports, including photos, to demonstrate progress and identify any construction issues.
  • Coordinate with local authorities and testing engineers to ensure all required inspections take place.
  • Review and sign off on time sheets submitted by subcontractors working on a time and material basis.
  • Manage project completion deficiencies and assist the Construction Management team in completing close-out documents.
  • Attend production meetings and maintain and update construction drawings for any changes to the work.
  • Collect JSA's (Job Safety Analysis) from all workers prior to starting work each day.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A degree in a relevant field, such as construction management or engineering, is preferred.
