About the Role
As a key member of the Douglas College team, the Site Services Supervisor - Operations Manager will provide supervision of Site Services, room bookings, and resolve operational issues. This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of site services and providing exceptional client-centred service to all stakeholder groups.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the daily operations of the room booking function and site services support.
- Administer day-to-day site services activities, develop work procedures, and ensure safe, productive, and efficient Site Services operation.
- Analyze and plan site services support, resolve conflicts involving building services workers, faculty, staff, students, and stakeholders.
- Maintain Site Services Operations by analyzing operational issues and problems, developing effective room bookings and site services work procedures, and maintaining procedure manuals.
- Identify additional staffing requirements to meet special events and project work requirements.
Requirements
- Completion of a two (2) year program in a related field at a recognized post-secondary educational institution.
- Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills, including written and verbal fluency in the English language.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including a demonstrated ability to develop, establish, and maintain effective working relationships with administrators, managers, and staff.
- Demonstrated team-building skills, proven experience supervising, and knowledge of principles and practices of employee supervision.
- Demonstrated office management and supervisory skills and experience.
- Demonstrated project management and team-building skills, proven experience in leading teams and task groups.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and coordinate large events and meetings involving a variety of internal and external stakeholder groups.
- Demonstrated ability to compose business correspondence and reports.
