Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled construction labourer and helper to join our team at Nova Scotia Limited. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for assisting in various aspects of construction projects, from loading and unloading materials to performing pre-operational inspections.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials
  • Performing pre-operational inspections to ensure equipment is safe and ready for use
  • Mixing, pouring, and spreading materials such as concrete and asphalt
  • Assisting in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites
  • Supporting framing house construction, erecting walls, and building roofs
  • Removing rubble and other debris from construction sites
Work Environment and Conditions

This role requires working outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, noise, dust, and heights. You must be physically fit and able to handle heavy loads.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this position, you must have:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role or industry
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
