Accounting Team Member Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Team Member to join our team at CB Canada. This is a full-time/permanent role on site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Accounting team in the direction, supervision, and development of accounting activities
  • Manage a broad spectrum of accounting tasks, including monthly and year-end closing processes to support timely and complete financial statements
  • Assist with external auditors and completion of tax filings
  • Support period reporting requirements to financial institutions, solicitors, and other third parties
  • Prepare year-end working paper files
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives of the Accounting team and financial analyses as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required
  • Thorough understanding of financial reporting and year-end filing
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently as required
  • Strong computer skills, including Excel
  • Experience managing a small team
  • Experience with Yardi or another integrated ERP solution is an asset
  • Self-motivated and independent, detailed-oriented, strong work ethic, and high integrity and ethical standards
  • Willingness to work with others, a strong team player, and ability to grow into a leadership role
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to draft correspondence for senior members of the organization
