Job Title: Manager, IELTS and Professional Learning

About the Role:

Humber College is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager, IELTS and Professional Learning to lead the planning, development, and implementation of IELTS Test Centre operations and Continuing Professional Learning (CPL) programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the IELTS Test Centre, managing a team of staff, and developing strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planning, development, and implementation of IELTS Test Centre operations, including test-day administration, staff management, and quality assurance.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for CPL programs, including program development, marketing, and delivery.
  • Manage a team of staff, including test examiners, invigilators, and support staff, and provide training and development opportunities to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Liaise with the British Council on IELTS Test Centre operations and personnel, and respond to protocols and compliance directives.
  • Oversee the response to stakeholder inquiries and provide timely and effective customer service interactions.
  • Identify business development opportunities and develop strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to promote IELTS Test Centre and CPL programs.

Requirements:

  • 4-year degree in Education, Management/Business Administration, Marketing, or related discipline.
  • TESL Ontario certification or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of combined managerial experience working directly with adult learners, test takers, or language centres.
  • 5 years ESL teaching experience.
  • 2-3 years experience working as an IELTS Examiner or experience managing an IELTS Test Centre, Language Centre, or Continuing Education unit.
  • Experience managing operations in a unionized environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial management, budgeting, reporting, and project management skills.
  • Experience in developing strategic partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in marketing and developing new business opportunities, program development, and delivery.
