Role Overview

As the Bid and Proposal Strategist at Sierra Space, your key responsibility will be to devise, refine, and oversee essential bidding, proposal, and capture initiatives that are crucial for propelling the company's expansion. Reporting directly to the Senior Director for Capture and Proposal Management, you will engage in the development of complex proposals and bids, evaluate and endorse solicitations, identify all assessment requirements and criteria, and enhance templates, tools, and guidelines to continuously improve the proposal process. Your role will also encompass managing proposal activity audits, proposal performance metrics, and enhancements to align program proposal efforts with business operations.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or space-related discipline
  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of the required education
  • Strong leadership capabilities in organizing, coordinating, and guiding diverse teams through the proposal process
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of various fields such as business development, capture management, and program management
  • Proven track record in leading proposal development initiatives
  • Extensive familiarity with proposal management and submission processes for government and commercial programs
  • Strong analytical skills in preparing and reviewing proposals
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and coordinate activities effectively
  • Willingness to travel as necessary

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Possession of an active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance is preferred
  • Demonstrated success in organizing and winning competitive proposals
  • Exemplary collaboration, team-building, and critical thinking skills
  • Understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and related compliance standards
  • Passion for advanced technology applications in space missions
  • Team-oriented with the ability to work independently
  • Knowledge of U.S. Government budgeting and DoD acquisition processes
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry or related fields

Important Notice:

This position requires the ability to acquire and maintain a Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is a prerequisite for this role due to the security clearance requirement. Non-U.S. Citizens may not be eligible for clearance.

Estimated Starting Salary Range:

$104,000 - $144,138.39
