About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and efficient Kitchen Helper to join our team at Himeji Japanese Cuisine Ltd. As a Kitchen Helper, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and presentation of food, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment, and supporting the kitchen team in their daily tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in food preparation, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment, utensils, and work surfaces
  • Help to maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors
  • Support the kitchen team in their daily tasks, including receiving and storing supplies, and removing kitchen garbage and trash
  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of food, including portioning and wrapping foods, and preparing, heating, and finishing simple food items
  • Help to maintain a safe and healthy kitchen environment, including following proper food handling and storage procedures
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a kitchen environment is an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Reliability and efficiency in completing tasks
  • Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with a focus on maintaining a clean and safe workspace. The position requires the ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs), and work in a physically demanding environment.
