About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Operations Manager to join our team in Canada. As a key member of our financial leadership team, you will play a critical role in driving the financial planning and performance analysis of the company. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing period-end close, budgeting, forecasting, statutory audits, and overseeing all financial aspects of our business units.

Key Responsibilities
* Manage and oversee the financial planning and performance analysis for the company by analyzing risks and performance metrics* Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports* Develop, manage, and update forecasts (monthly, quarterly, and annual) and track key financial KPIs* Monitor and analyze performance strategies to identify improvement opportunities, ensuring execution to meet and exceed financial targets* Drive the financial planning of the company by analyzing the performance and risks of the portfolio using the KPI framework* Ensure a positive cash flow for the portfolio by monitoring financial health and liquidity* Organize and oversee statutory audits, ensuring timely filings and compliance* Develop strategies to improve return on investment (ROI) and profitability* Ensure compliance with all tax and regulatory requirements and maintain effective financial internal controls* Monitor the financial health of the company and ensure positive cash flow* Prepare monthly and quarterly business reviews for portfolio companies that highlight results, remediation plans for underperformers, and strategic initiatives to drive organic growth to the senior management team* Partner with the corporate finance department to ensure alignment on broader financial strategies and objectives* Maintain high-level interaction with the corporate finance department

About You
* At least a Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting or Finance, CPA highly preferred* At least 5+ years of professional experience in an accounting or finance role (experience in a Big Four firm preferred)* Proven ability to manage risks through efficient internal controls while maintaining operational flexibility* Strong understanding of financial processes, with the ability to navigate and resolve conflicting goals of diverse stakeholders* Fast learner and adaptable skillset, with the ability to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced start-up environment* Ability to manage risks by ensuring that effective and efficient internal controls are in place without compromising operational efficiency and flexibility* Experience with Oracle NetSuite ERP (or similar systems) is an asset* Expertise in streamlining and implementing efficient financial processes* Outstanding organizational, time management and communication skills* Advanced proficiency in MS Excel* Ability to visualize efficient processes and implement them* Prior experience managing a finance team is advantageous* Being fluent in English, both written and verbal, is essential* Legally authorized to work in Canada

What We Offer
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for career growth and development in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
