Strategic UX Leader for Mobile Apps

We're seeking a Sr UX Manager to help drive the growth and development of our UX and Graphic Design talent as we scale our team strategically to deliver on business objectives. As a Sr UX Manager, you'll be supporting our team of 4 UX Designers and 2 Graphic Designers while collaborating with our Principal UX Designer and Product Managers.

This senior position is suitable for candidates with 12+ years of UX Product Design experience and at least 3 years of people management experience.

  3. Possess effective communication skills to address difficult conversations and share concerns when necessary

  6. Stay updated with industry trends and have a keen interest in understanding and learning
  7. Promote smart decision-making within projects, balancing perfection with good priorities
What You'll Be Doing

As a Sr UX Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Hiring, training, managing, and retaining a team of UX and Graphic Designers
  2. Partnering with the Principal UX Designer to improve designer skills through ongoing feedback
  3. Leading projects and working closely with the team, strategizing with the Product Manager and Principal UX Designer
  4. Developing and maintaining systems and standards for design across various products
  5. Managing external consultant projects, ensuring project goals, stakeholders, and schedules are met
  6. Helping shape business direction through process and product improvements, delivering on quarterly goals
  7. Collaborating with user research teams for usability testing and co-design initiatives
  8. Working with cross-functional managers to achieve shared objectives
  9. Researching and advocating for best practices in design operations management
  10. Networking and staying connected with the external UX and graphic design community
Qualifications and Skills

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  1. At least 12 years of experience in UX or product design
  2. Collaboration experience with Product Managers to deliver on business objectives
  3. Experience overseeing growth work and experimentation
  4. Background in mobile app design
  5. A portfolio showcasing commitment to quality user experience
  6. Previous experience managing teams of 3+ designers
  7. Strong presentation and stakeholder engagement skills

In addition to the required qualifications, having experience in the kids' space and SaaS environments would be beneficial.
