The Native Food Alliance is seeking a skilled Native App Developer to design, develop, and maintain high-quality native mobile applications for various platforms, including iOS and Android.

Key Responsibilities:
  • We are looking for a talented developer to create seamless and user-friendly mobile experiences by collaborating with cross-functional teams, including designers and product managers.
  • This role involves designing, coding, testing, and maintaining native mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms using programming languages such as Swift and Kotlin.
  • The ideal candidate will ensure optimal performance and compatibility across different devices, screen sizes, and OS versions.
  • You will work closely with UI/UX designers to implement intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces that enhance the overall user experience.
  • This position requires continuous optimization of app performance, including speed, responsiveness, and resource utilization.
  • Responsibilities also include identifying and resolving technical issues, bugs, and glitches through debugging and troubleshooting techniques.
  • You will integrate third-party libraries, APIs, and services to enhance app functionality and data connectivity.
  • The successful candidate will implement best practices for securing user data and ensuring data privacy within the app.
  • Maintenance of thorough documentation of the app's codebase, processes, and updates is also essential for this role.
  • You will conduct thorough testing, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing, to ensure the app's stability and reliability.
  • Utilization of version control systems, such as Git, is required to manage code changes and collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Staying updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in mobile app development is crucial for this position.
  • Closely collaborating with product managers, designers, and other developers is also a key responsibility.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience in native mobile app development for iOS and/or Android, with a strong portfolio showcasing completed projects.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Swift and Kotlin.
  • A solid understanding of mobile app architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with development tools, IDEs, and debugging techniques specific to the target platforms.
  • Knowledge of UI/UX design principles and the ability to collaborate effectively with designers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies is a plus.
