Job Summary:
The Meridia Recruitment Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial reporting process, ensuring compliance, and maintaining the integrity of financial controls.
About the Role:
This is a pivotal role within the airlines division, where you will liaise with the operational finance team to communicate financial performance, support financial decisions, and understand day-to-day business and operational changes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting and Compliance:
- Oversee the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Develop and maintain the integrity of the financial reporting process and financial controls.
- Resolve accounting issues and ensure compliance with new accounting pronouncements.
- Coordinate annual year-end audits and ensure effective communication with auditors.
- Operational Support and Liaison:
- Communicate financial performance and support financial decisions in collaboration with the operational finance team.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Coordinate monthly and quarterly tax deliverables and remittances.
- Contract Compliance and Financial Oversight:
- Ensure contractual invoices comply with contract terms.
- Provide mentorship and oversight of divisional deliverables.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in a progressive environment, with at least three of those in a leadership position.
- Post-secondary education in Business, Finance, or a related field, along with a CPA designation.
- A strategic mindset with strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative spirit.
- Proven track record of successful stakeholder engagement.
- Strong leadership skills, including coaching, mentoring, providing constructive feedback, and proactively managing performance.
