Kitchen Helper Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Sandstone Motel & Lounge and Sandstone Gas Plus. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and equipment are properly cleaned and stored.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in preparing and serving food and beverages to guests
  • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruits
  • Load and unload dishes, utensils, and equipment from dishwashers and storage areas
  • Restock refrigerators, freezers, and cupboards with supplies
  • Sanitize kitchen surfaces, equipment, and utensils
  • Receive and unpack supplies, and store them in designated areas
  • Remove trash and recyclables from the kitchen
  • Perform other duties as assigned by kitchen staff
Requirements:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Working Conditions:

This is a permanent position, working 40 hours per week. The work environment is fast-paced and requires standing for extended periods. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a client-focused attitude and strong reliability skills.
