Accounts Payable Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join our team at CB Canada. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts payable, with proven management experience and the ability to initiate improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the work of AP clerks, performing final review and ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Provide oversight on controls, system efficiencies, and payable processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
- Review and analyze processes and procedures, providing recommendations for improvement and implementing changes to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Assist with payment schedules, forecasting, and ensuring accurate tax application, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide support, mentoring, and training for staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Liaise with other departments, including procurement, HR, and IT, to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Perform other duties as required to support the success of the team.
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field.
- Proven leadership and management experience, with a track record of success in accounts payable.
- Experience in Canadian financial reporting and taxation, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements.
- Working experience with complex ERP systems, such as SAP or MS Dynamics365.
- Superior oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical skills and understanding of the business environment, with the ability to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
