Inpatient Care Hospitalist - 7-Day Coverage

The Hospitalist Service at Cooper Tacia General Contracting Company is expanding, offering opportunities to collaborate with allied health professionals to provide exceptional inpatient care.

Our facility accommodates 50 inpatient beds, with a breakdown as follows:

  • Medical: 24
  • Overflow admissions managed in the Emergency Department

On average, hospitalists are expected to deliver care to 12-16 patients daily.

Intensive Care Unit

Our hospitalists also attend to patients in the ICU, which serves acute medical needs that are not suitable for general medical wards. This unit is crucial for the stabilization and interim management of patients before they are transferred to a higher level of care.

Effective leadership is vital for the success and development of the hospitalist program.

Anesthetists are available for consultative care, including airway management, cardiac and pulmonary resuscitation, advanced life support, and pain management, playing a key role in stabilizing patients for transport.

Consultation with an Intensivist is readily accessible via phone or messaging.

With a roster of four hospitalists daily, we can flexibly schedule professionals who are adept at providing ICU care alongside those focused on inpatient medical, surgical, and mental wellness.

Responsibilities

Hospitalist physicians are responsible for adult medical (inpatient) care. Coverage includes:

  • Medical Unit
  • Surgical Unit
  • Intensive Care Unit
  • Mental Wellness Unit (secure medical unit)

Hospitalists maintain health records in accordance with established policies and clinical standards.

The inclusive daily rate is $2760 through an alternate payment arrangement. On-call services provided outside of regular hours are billed separately.

All contracted physicians must shadow bill for services rendered, ensuring compliance with the claims processing system.

Support for accommodation and transportation expenses is available for locum positions.
