Job Summary:

Day & Night is seeking a highly skilled and experienced 4th Line Hospitalist Physician to join our team at Whitehorse General Hospital. As a Hospitalist Physician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality inpatient care to patients admitted to the Medical Unit, Surgical Unit, Intensive Care Unit, and Mental Wellness Unit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide adult medical inpatient care at Whitehorse General Hospital
  • Manage patient care on the Medical Unit, Surgical Unit, Intensive Care Unit, and Mental Wellness Unit
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients
  • Conduct daily rounds and provide updates to patients and families
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and meetings to discuss patient care
  • Document patient care and maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams

Requirements:

  • Be licensed by the Yukon Medical Council to practice medicine in Yukon
  • Have experience working in a hospital setting, preferably in a 4th Line Hospitalist role
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Have a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care
