About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Line Cook to join our team at Moxie's Grill & Bar. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes to the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including soups, salads, and entrees, using fresh ingredients and following established recipes and cooking techniques.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization, and to identify and address any potential food safety issues.
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure they are following proper food preparation and handling procedures.
  • Order and manage inventory of food, supplies, and equipment, and maintain accurate records of usage and inventory levels.
  • Clean and maintain kitchen and work areas, including equipment and utensils, to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Organize and execute buffets and banquets, including planning menus, ordering supplies, and coordinating with other staff members.
  • Manage kitchen operations, including scheduling, inventory management, and staff supervision, to ensure efficient and effective food preparation and service.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen or food service environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with attention to detail and a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with other staff members and management.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, and to stand for long periods of time.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position, working 35 hours per week. The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on providing excellent customer service and ensuring a safe and healthy working environment.
