About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Karahi Point Richmond Hill. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and Implement Operational Procedures

Develop and implement effective operational procedures to ensure the smooth running of our food service department, including establishing methods to meet work schedules and ensuring that food and service meet quality control standards.

Supervise and Train Staff

Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and ensure that all staff are aware of their responsibilities and expectations.

Manage Inventory and Supplies

Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage, and ensure that all inventory and supplies are properly managed and maintained.

Recruit and Hire Staff

Recruit and hire food service staff, ensuring that all new hires meet the necessary qualifications and standards for the role.

Monitor and Improve Performance

Monitor the performance of staff and the overall performance of the food service department, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary to ensure that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.

Experience

1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role is required.

Language

Fluency in English is required.

Work Schedule

30 to 40 hours per week is required.
