We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team at Confluent, Inc. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and operating high-performance, scalable, and reliable backend services that power our cloud-native platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Architect and develop mission-critical backend services that deliver value to our customers
  • Troubleshoot and debug technical issues within a complex technical stack
  • Ensure operational readiness of services and meet availability and performance SLA commitments
  • Contribute to process and operational improvements
Requirements
  • 4+ years of industry experience designing, building, and supporting backend systems in production
  • Strong knowledge of Python runtime environments and programming skills
  • Experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies
  • BS, MS, or PhD in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience
