About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Construction Labourer and Helper to join our team at HYLTON CARPENTRY & RENO. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for assisting our skilled tradespeople with various tasks on construction sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by loading, unloading, and transporting materials as needed.
  • Formwork and Scaffolding: Help erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Assisting Skilled Tradespeople: Assist skilled tradespeople with tasks such as framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs.
  • Earthwork and Grading: Assist in leveling earth to fine grade specifications.
  • Cleanliness and Waste Management: Clean and pile salvaged materials, and remove rubble and other debris from construction sites.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Assist in maintaining and repairing equipment and machinery used on construction sites.
  • Site Safety: Assist in ensuring a safe working environment by directing traffic at or near construction sites.
Requirements
  • Dependability: Demonstrate a strong sense of dependability and reliability in completing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Hardworking: Show a strong work ethic and be willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Will to Learn: Be willing to learn and take on new tasks and responsibilities.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Schedule: Work a regular 35-40 hour workweek.
