About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Sales Director to lead our sales strategy and drive sustainable growth in the sales of Heavy Haul and Utility Trailers. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to maximize market share and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Sales Strategy: Develop and execute sales strategies to drive growth and profitability in the Heavy Haul and Utility Trailer market.
  • Dealer Development: Recruit and develop a network of dealers to sell our products.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with our Territory Managers and Sales Specialists to develop and implement strategies for expanding our sales with dealers.
  • Product Knowledge: Provide in-depth knowledge of our products, applications, industry trends, customers, and competitors to support the sales team.
  • Training and Development: Coordinate and deliver ongoing product knowledge and application training for regional sales and dealer teams.
  • Market Intelligence: Provide market intelligence to ensure our pricing, programs, and marketing strategies are competitive and effective in penetrating new markets and growing existing ones.
  • Product Differentiation: Identify opportunities for product differentiation and market penetration that enhance profitability.
  • Asset Management: Support asset management goals related to inventory turnover and aging while protecting company assets.
  • Customer Visits: Participate in customer visits with sales teams as needed.
  • Dealer Support: Assist dealers with sales and marketing initiatives, including advertising, demonstrations, field days, and open houses.
  • Sales Program Development: Provide input into sales program and product development.
  • Trade Shows: Assist in coordinating and attending trade shows within the territory.
Requirements
  • 5-10 years of experience in trailer sales, product support, or technical support, with manufacturers and/or dealers of Heavy Haul and Utility Trailers.
  • Ability to coach and develop the company's Sales Team members.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Excel and Outlook.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid passport and be willing to travel internationally.
