Flooring Supervisor

Crown Flooring and Construction Ltd is seeking a skilled Flooring Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supervising workers and projects, coordinating and scheduling activities, and training or arranging for training. You will also estimate costs and materials, recommend personnel actions, and requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise a team of 5-10 people, including tilesetters and floor covering installers
  • Coordinate and schedule activities to ensure timely completion of projects
  • Train or arrange for training to ensure team members have the necessary skills and knowledge
  • Estimate costs and materials for projects
  • Recommend personnel actions, such as promotions or disciplinary actions
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory role
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Ability to work on the road and travel to various job sites
  • Support for newcomers and refugees, including language training and skills training
  • Support for Indigenous people, including mentorship and coaching opportunities
  • Support for visible minorities, including mentorship programs and diversity training
