Job Title: Personal Support Worker - Nursing Care

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Support Worker to join our team at Stayner Care Centre Inc. in a nursing home/home for the aged setting.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide personal care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents and their families.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care and support to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as feeding, toileting, and mobility.
  • Monitor and report any changes in residents' condition to the nursing staff.
  • Participate in recreational activities and social events to promote resident engagement and well-being.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident.
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
  • Experience in a nursing home or healthcare setting is an asset.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, Nursing Aide Certificate, Health Care Aide Certificate, and Personal Support Worker Certificate.
  • Criminal record check, immunization records, vulnerable sector check, and tuberculosis test.
