We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Lab Technologist to join our team in Prince George, BC.
About the RoleAs a Medical Lab Technologist, you will be responsible for conducting a wide range of diagnostic and interpretive specimen testing, performing, interpreting, and releasing results, while ensuring the confidentiality of patient information.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct diagnostic and interpretive specimen testing
- Perform, interpret, and release test results
- Ensure patient information confidentiality
- Identify incidents and non-conformities, and participate in corrective action plans
- Assist with the evaluation and implementation of new technology
- Participate in problem-solving and workflow optimization
- College diploma or University degree in Medical Laboratory Science, or equivalent education and/or experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Good computer skills and knowledge
- Problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify and follow-up on issues
- Ability to maintain strict standards of safety, patient privacy, and confidentiality
