Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Journeyperson Solar Installer to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, including solar energy systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret electrical diagrams, circuit drawings, and code specifications to determine wiring layouts for new or existing installations.
  • Pull wire through conduits and holes in walls and floors.
  • Install brackets and hangers to support electrical equipment.
  • Install, replace, and repair lighting fixtures, electrical control, and distribution equipment.
  • Splice, join, and connect wire to fixtures and components to form circuits.
  • Test continuity of circuits using test equipment to ensure compatibility and safety of the system.
  • Troubleshoot and isolate faults in electrical and electronic systems and remove and replace faulty components.
  • Connect electrical power to audio and visual communication equipment, signaling devices, and heating and cooling systems.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records.
  • Responsible for mentoring apprentices.
Requirements
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Professional, approachable, and customer-service oriented.
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
  • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Good mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience in the commercial/industrial sector.
  • Procore or related software experience.
  • Valid Journeyperson Electrical Certification.
  • Commercial Solar experience would be an asset.
  • Residential Solar installation experience.
Additional Requirements
  • Travel may be required.
  • Position may be on a job site.
