Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative educator to join our team as an IB MYP Art Educator. The ideal candidate will be a passionate teacher who can inspire and engage students while providing rigorous instruction in the visual arts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach IB MYP Art and Design courses to students in grades 6-12
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess student learning and provide constructive feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement interdisciplinary assessments
  • Support English Language Learners and students with diverse needs
Requirements
  • Subject-related degree and B. Ed. preferred
  • BC teachers' license and good standing or ability to obtain
  • Legal ability to work in Canada without sponsorship
  • Experience teaching middle school and high school students
  • Ability to use technology effectively and integrate it meaningfully into teaching and learning
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching in the IB MYP
  • Recent IB MYP Art & Design training
  • Familiarity with BC's curriculum
  • Experience living overseas or working in an internationally minded workplace
