Project Manager - Service Desk Transition

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support a Service Desk transition. The successful candidate will act as a liaison between internal support teams and the vendor, ensuring that all resources are effectively mobilized and transition activities are meticulously tracked and executed according to the schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee project tracking activities, including the maintenance of dashboards, SLA reporting, and other reporting mechanisms to fulfill contractual obligations.
  • Work closely with the Service Owner to verify that the vendor's transition plan aligns with the contract's stipulations.
  • Regularly update the Service Owner and stakeholders on project progress, promptly identify any issues, and develop strategic solutions to address them.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in project management, preferably with a background in service desk operations and contract transitions.
  • Strong understanding of AI-driven support systems, call management strategies, and contact center technologies.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills to manage diverse teams and maintain project alignment with strategic goals.

Skills:

  • Experience defining project scope and goals in collaboration with business stakeholders.
  • Experience developing project deliverables, including project charters, business cases, briefing notes, status reports, risk logs, and project closures.
  • Experience managing multiple projects concurrently.
  • Experience working as a Project Manager on a large complex custom software application development project in a large and complex environment.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience conducting, facilitating, and interpreting impact and risk assessments across multiple scenarios.
  • Experience creating and managing project forecasts in Microsoft Project.
  • Experience developing and maintaining positive relationships across the organization, from front-line staff to executives.
  • Experience in project coordination of information management/information technology initiatives.
  • Experience leading and facilitating meetings with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience leading change management and communication planning.
  • Experience leading custom software application development projects following a formal project life cycle methodology.
  • Experience working on Transition Service Desk projects.
  • Experience working with AI-driven support systems, call management strategies, and contact center technologies.
