Purpose:

The Interim Assistant to the Dean provides high-level administrative support to the Dean and senior leaders within the Office of the Dean at York University.

This role is responsible for coordinating the workflow of administrative staff, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring the efficient operation of the office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide confidential and professional support to the Dean and senior leaders
  • Coordinate and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Oversee and manage the workflow of administrative staff
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure the smooth operation of the office and its administrative functions
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • University degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficient in MS Office suite, including Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to respond to client requests quickly and professionally
