Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Security Officer to join our team at GardaWorld. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our data centre in Barrie.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate access control to the building and sensitive areas of the facility
  • Conduct exhaustive foot patrols of the facility and report any issues through proper channels
  • Maintain accurate access and equipment logs
  • Provide escorts for contractors into restricted areas
  • Test building security and fire systems
  • Investigate and report alarms
  • Respond to emergencies
  • Monitor CCTV systems
Requirements
  • Valid security license
  • Valid CPR/First Aid certification from a WSIB-approved provider
  • Availability to work a continental rotation schedule with two weeks of days and two weeks of nights
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with computer systems
  • Ability to complete regular foot patrols
  • Ability to articulate motivation for applying and working in the security field
