About the Role

Golderado Contracting Corp is seeking a skilled Asphalt Raker to join our team of heavy construction specialists. As an Asphalt Raker, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our road construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess Road Conditions: Evaluate road surfaces to determine the best course of action for asphalt raking.
  • Asphalt Raking: Spread and level asphalt using efficient techniques to ensure a smooth and even surface.
  • Material Handling: Load and unload construction materials, including asphalt and aggregate, as needed.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate heavy equipment, such as pneumatic hammers and vibrators, to compact and smooth out asphalt surfaces.
  • Safety Protocols: Adhere to company safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in heavy construction, with a focus on asphalt raking and road construction.
  • Training: Completion of Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS 09 or 2020), WHMIS 2015, and ground disturbance 201.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and work in warm conditions for prolonged periods.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
