Job Title: Marker Maker

The Marker Maker is a crucial role within Canada Goose, responsible for creating and distributing markers for the company and its vendors. This position requires expertise in creating markers with the Gerber Accumark System to achieve optimal material utilization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and update Proto sample markers and production markers in the Gerber Accumark system.
  • Plan bulk cutting based on production purchase order and style release information.
  • Follow-up style Pattern/Marker revisions and updates.
  • Plot and/or prepare electronic files for individual vendors/MPOs according to the timelines on the Marker Production Schedule.
  • Calculate fabric consumption for bulk cutting, costing, and material ordering purposes.
  • Work with plotters, change plotter paper, and track plotters' utilization.
  • Maintain plotters and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • College degree or diploma in apparel design and manufacturing.
  • 2-3 years' experience in marker making.
  • 2-3 years experience using Gerber Accumark, experience with other CAD systems an asset.
  • 2-3 years experience working with cutting rooms, familiarity with both auto and manual cutting.
  • Knowledge of pattern making & sewing is an asset.
  • Experience with outerwear garments is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Strong computer skills - Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, team player, multi-task oriented.
  • Effective communication & interpersonal skills required to build relationships across the business.
