We are a dynamic and fast-paced dessert cafe looking for an experienced Restaurant Assistant General Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our daily activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and monitor daily restaurant operations, maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
  • Supervise and train staff members, providing guidance on customer service and food handling procedures.
  • Plan and organize daily tasks, setting work schedules and managing inventory levels.
  • Negotiate with suppliers for food and other essential items, aiming to achieve cost-effective solutions.
  • Address customer complaints and concerns, ensuring exceptional customer service standards are met.
Support for Diverse Groups:
  • Promote hiring practices that welcome newcomers and refugees, offering them opportunities to develop their skills.
  • Develop on-the-job training programs tailored to young individuals, helping them build confidence and expertise.
  • Foster mentorship and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers, supporting their career growth and development.
  • Implement hiring policies that discourage age discrimination, creating a welcoming environment for mature workers.
  • Avoid discriminatory practices against visible minorities, ensuring equal opportunities for all candidates.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent non-university certificate/diploma from a 3-month to less than 1-year program.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant experience in restaurant management or a related field.
What We Offer:
  • Competitive salary: $50,000 - $60,000 per year (dependent on experience).
  • Permanent full-time position with a guaranteed minimum of 30-35 hours per week.
