Senior Policy and Planning Analyst

The Manitoba Government is seeking a highly skilled Senior Policy and Planning Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Strategic Initiatives division, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and implementation of policies and programs that drive positive change in our province.

About the Role:

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a seasoned policy professional to leverage their expertise and experience to drive strategic initiatives and policy development. You will work closely with our Executive Director of Strategic Initiatives to develop and implement policies and programs that align with our government's priorities and goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement policies and programs that align with our government's priorities and goals.
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform policy development and implementation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to build support for policy initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, community groups, and industry partners.
  • Provide strategic advice and guidance to our Executive Director and other senior leaders.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as public administration, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in policy development and implementation, preferably in a government or public sector setting.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful policies and programs.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear and concise recommendations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork.
