Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Enterprise Architect to lead our technology transformation vision and associated operational strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in driving large-scale technology initiatives and will be responsible for developing and implementing architecture strategies and best practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enterprise Architecture and Modernization Practice
    • Develop and maintain a comprehensive Enterprise Architecture framework that defines principles, standards, and global technology target state reference architectures and patterns for core capabilities.
    • Lead the implementation of architecture strategies and best practices across the organization, ensuring that technology solutions adhere to security, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
    • Develop and govern core enterprise models, including Scotiabank's Technology and Business Capability Model, Enterprise Information Model, and Technology Reference Model.
    • Provide thought leadership on modernization and emerging technologies, and drive innovation across the organization.
  • Technology Leadership
    • Provide strategic guidance on technology investments, system integration, and modernization efforts.
    • Develop and implement governance strategies and tools for use across the enterprise.
    • Evaluate emerging technologies and assess their potential impact on the bank's operations.
    • Manage the impact of technology changes on the bank's employees, processes, and stakeholders.
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead a team of senior architects and related technology professionals across the global technology practice.
    • Develop new leaders through mentorship and structured development programs.
    • Build a high-performance environment and implement a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates the team.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience working on end-to-end technology architecture, application support and deployment, preferably within financial services.
  • Delivery of large-scale complex programs at pace, developing high-performing teams to support delivery at each stage.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent judgment and analytical skills.
