Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Concierge to join our team at Senior Residence Montreal. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our residential building, providing exceptional service to our residents, and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Building Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to:
    • Complete building upkeep
    • Clearing snow from access points and applying salt
    • Managing waste and recycling
    • Maintenance and repairs in apartments and common areas
    • Preparing apartments for relocation (minor plaster or painting work)
    • Maintaining outdoor planters and gardens
  • Repairs and Renovations: Perform repairs and renovations in apartments and common areas, including but not limited to:
    • Plumbing: replacing sinks, faucets, and toilet fixtures, installing vanities and toilets, and performing occasional lockouts
    • Electrical: installing fixtures and ceiling lights, replacing old outlets and switches, and checking appliances
    • Plaster and Painting: performing repairs and touch-ups
    • Furniture and Finishing: installing molding, trim, and countertops, and performing other finishing work
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and navigate stairs
