Job Summary

Michael Garron Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Medicine and Surgery team. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Participate in unit quality initiatives and measurements
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment
  • Develop and maintain knowledge and skills in medical-surgical nursing
Requirements
  • Current Certificate of Registration in good standing from the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • 2 years of recent medical/surgical experience in the last 3 years
  • Experience or interest in Critical Care an asset
  • Strong leadership skills and experience taking the lead in multidisciplinary teams
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a highly skilled interdisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated ability to implement plan of care including independent and interdependent nursing functions
Preferred Qualifications
  • Training or education in Critical Care an asset
  • Current BLS required
  • ACLS an asset
  • CNA certification an asset
