About the Role

Cascades Canada ULC is seeking a skilled Materials Sorter to join our team in a permanent position. As a Materials Sorter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient sorting and processing of recyclable materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sorting and Processing: Check and weigh materials and products to ensure accurate sorting and processing.
  • Packing and Packaging: Sort, pack, crate, and package materials and products in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Assisting Machine Operators: Assist machine operators, assemblers, and other workers in the production process.
  • Labouring and Elemental Activities: Perform other labouring and elemental activities as required, including cleaning machines and immediate work areas.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced production environment with a focus on safety and efficiency.
  • Physical Demands: The role requires the ability to work independently, perform repetitive tasks, and handle physical demands, including lifting up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required.
