Front Desk Agent Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and friendly Front Desk Agent to provide exceptional guest service at Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide warm and welcoming service to guests, responding to their needs and resolving any issues promptly.
  • Ensure the front desk and lobby areas are clean, tidy, and well-maintained, creating a positive first impression for guests.
  • Answer phone calls and greet guests in a professional and courteous manner, adhering to Westin/Marriott brand standards.
  • Manage guest arrivals, departures, and in-house activities, organizing VIP amenities as needed.
  • Efficiently book guest reservations, either by phone, in person, or online.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and communicate effectively with other departments.
  • Process check-ins, check-outs, and register transactions, providing information on hotel services and room locations.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of one year of experience in a full-service or select-service hotel.
  • Proficient in English.
  • Technologically savvy.

Working Conditions:

This role may involve working day shifts, afternoon shifts, or evening shifts, including weekends and occasional night audits. The position requires long periods of standing and may involve lifting and bending. There may be periods of independent work and brief exposure to cold air due to the front desk location.
