Job Summary

The Health Care Aide is a vital member of our home care team, working under the supervision of the Care Coordinator to provide personalized care services to our clients. This role requires a compassionate and caring individual who can assist with daily living activities, promote independence, and enhance the overall quality of life for our clients.

Responsibilities
  • Personal Care and Hygiene: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and using the bathroom.
  • Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for clients, taking into account their dietary needs and preferences.
  • Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients, including laundry, cleaning, and organization.
  • Companionship: Engage in activities with clients, such as reading, watching movies, or going for walks, to promote social interaction and reduce feelings of loneliness.
  • Medication Reminders: Assist clients with taking their medications, as prescribed by their healthcare provider.
  • Transportation: Safely transport clients to appointments, social events, or other activities, as needed.
  • Documentation: Accurately record client information, including care plans, progress notes, and any concerns or issues that arise.
Qualifications
  • Health Care Aide Certificate: Possess a valid Health Care Aide Certificate or equivalent, such as a foreign-trained nurse or nursing student.
  • CPR/First Aid Training: Hold current CPR/First Aid training or be willing to obtain it.
  • Travel Requirements: Be able to travel around the Tri-Cities area, as needed, to provide care services to clients.
