**Education and Training:**
Graduation from a recognized university program in Occupational Therapy is required. Current practicing full registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC) is also necessary. Eligibility for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT) is a must. A minimum of two (2) years' post-graduate experience in Occupational Therapy or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is required. Community experience is preferred. A valid BC Driver's License is also required.
Key Skills and Abilities- Prioritize, organize, and problem-solve effectively.
- Observe and assess clients with sound judgement and tact.
- Demonstrate empathy and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Deal with others effectively and participate as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Foster good public relations and operate related equipment, including computerized systems.
- Be physically and emotionally able to perform the duties of the position.
- Type and use personal vehicle for work-related purposes.
