About the Role

MPE Engineering Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Civil Technologist to join our team. As a key player in our municipal civil engineering projects, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse and challenging projects while being part of a supportive and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare cost estimates, design drawings, specifications, and contract documents under the supervision of a Senior Engineer or Technologist.
  • Develop, prepare, and review civil engineering design drawings, coordinating with the engineering Design Team.
  • Conduct site inspections and materials testing as required.
  • Manage construction contracts and liaise with clients and contractors.
  • Coordinate designs and construction inspections with multiple disciplines.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology from an accredited institution.
  • Member or eligibility for membership in ASET.
  • 3-5 years of municipal civil engineering experience, including but not limited to: Water Distribution Systems, Wastewater Collection Systems, Stormwater Management Systems, Site Grading, Transportation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of general construction methods.
  • Strong presentation, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented.
  • Proficiency with Civil3D software.

Typical Projects

  • Replacement and upgrade of underground water, sewer, and stormwater infrastructure.
  • Development of water treatment and pumping facilities.
  • Wastewater collection, pumping, and treatment facilities.
  • Infrastructure assessments and studies.
  • Road Rehabilitation.
