About this role

We're seeking a skilled Retail Buyer to join our team at Alberta Ltd o/a Pioneer Cannabis. As a Retail Buyer, you will be responsible for acquiring and managing retail products to meet our customers' needs.

Key responsibilities

Market Research - Study market reports, trade periodicals, and sales promotion materials to stay informed about industry trends and consumer preferences.

Product Sourcing - Select and purchase merchandise for resale, ensuring that products meet our quality and pricing standards.

Supplier Management - Establish and maintain contact with suppliers, negotiating prices, discounts, credit terms, and transportation arrangements.

Inventory Management - Maintain adequate stock levels, overseeing the distribution of merchandise to outlets and ensuring that products are available to meet customer demand.

Customer Service - Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.

Requirements

Education - Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.

Experience - Previous experience in retail buying or a related field is essential.

Skills - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

Work environment

This is a fast-paced environment where you will work under pressure to meet tight deadlines. You must be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
