About the Role

HUB International Ontario Limited is seeking a skilled Personal Insurance Account Manager to join our team in Oakville, Ontario. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing an existing book of business, handling client queries, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of an existing book of business, including client relationships and business development.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing client query calls, as well as priority mail, to ensure timely and effective communication.
  • Develop and implement strategies to meet new business and retention targets, including re-marketing and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Act on cross-sell opportunities and obtain referrals to drive business growth.
  • Upsell existing clients through regular touch-base calls and proactive mid-renewal calls.
  • Promptly respond to client inquiries, providing effective and efficient customer service.
  • Resolve client concerns and complaints while maintaining service excellence standards.
  • Input and update customer data and document all customer interactions.
  • Maintain accurate accounts receivable and underwriting knowledge of each market, utilizing portals for policy changes and inquiries.
  • Assist in training junior team members as needed.
  • Rate and quote new and renewal personal lines risks.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and company procedures, participating in training and education seminars to enhance knowledge.

Qualifications and Expertise

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in the insurance industry, preferably within Personal Lines.
  • RIBO license required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently with exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Word and Excel).
  • Experience with EPIC broker management system an asset.
