We are seeking a skilled Mechanic - HVAC Specialist to join our team at GG Ice Centre Ltd.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Installation: Install ventilation, air handling, and air conditioning systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Technical Expertise: Read blueprints or other instructions to determine work requirements and troubleshoot ventilation, air handling, refrigeration, and air conditioning systems.
  • Component Assembly: Assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning components, including measuring, cutting, and connecting piping using welding and brazing equipment.
  • System Testing: Start up systems and test for leaks using testing devices to ensure safe and reliable operation.
  • Refrigerant Handling: Handle, recover, and store refrigerants in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Repair and replace parts and components for entire refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation, or heat pump systems to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Physical Demands: The role requires bending, crouching, and kneeling, as well as working in a fast-paced environment with varying temperatures and humidity levels.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
